Bidar: Rotary Premier League 3.0 Cricket Player Auction Held
Bidar: The Rotary Club of Bidar Silver Star organized the player auction for the Rotary Premier League 3.0 cricket tournament at Vintage Resort near Kadawada in Bidar taluk on Tuesday. Over 100 players enthusiastically participated in the auction, which included Rotary Club officials, members, and players from various cricket clubs. Owners of eight teams purchased their preferred players during the event.
Vidhan Parishad member Bhimarav Patil, the chief guest, praised the Rotary Club of Bidar Silver Star for organizing the IPL-style cricket tournament under the campaign 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao'. He highlighted the club's efforts over the last three years in conducting tournaments with their own funds to assist the needy. Former minister Rajshekhar Patil's family has been sponsoring the first prize and trophy for two years and will continue this year. Club president Spoorti Dhannuru announced the tournament will be held from October 23 to 25 at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College ground in Bidar. Funds from previous tournaments were used for cancer treatment and education of poor children, while the current event's proceeds will support the protection and education of girls.
