Mohandas, a right‑wing activist, clarified remarks about imposing a curfew and ordering police firing at protestors near Jantar Mantar after a video surfaced.

A video that recently surfaced shows Mohandas, a right‑wing activist, speaking about imposing a curfew within a four‑kilometre radius around Jantar Mantar, warning protestors three times to disperse, and then ordering police firing. The clip quickly drew public attention and sparked a wave of criticism from opposition leaders and civil society groups.

The remarks were condemned by several political parties as an incitement to violence and a threat to the democratic process. Mohandas later issued a statement clarifying that he was not advocating actual firing but was expressing frustration over the protest situation.

In his clarification, Mohandas said that if he had the authority, he would have taken such measures, but he did not intend to carry them out. He emphasized that his comments were hypothetical and not a call for real action.

Delhi Police have not announced any formal action against Mohandas yet, but the incident is under review as authorities assess the potential impact on public safety and order.
