Congress leader Revanth Reddy criticised the central government for refusing his US visit, saying it insults Telangana's stature.

Senior Congress figure Revanth Reddy, a prominent leader from Telangana, publicly condemned the central government's decision to deny him a visa for a planned visit to the United States. He said the refusal is not merely a personal setback but an affront to the entire state, which he believes has consistently contributed to India's growth.

Reddy made the remarks after the Ministry of External Affairs turned down his application, citing procedural reasons. He urged the Union government to reconsider the decision, arguing that diplomatic engagements by elected representatives should be facilitated rather than obstructed.

The leader also warned that such actions could alienate regional leaders and hamper cooperative federalism. No official response from the Centre has been recorded as of now.
