Kota, Rajasthan – On Wednesday, the district collectorate will host the reservation lottery that will set the quota for the forthcoming Panchayati Raj elections in the region. The draw is part of the final phase of election preparations, which officials say are now complete.
The lottery will allocate reservations across 25 wards of the Zila Parishad, six blocks of the Panchayat Samiti, and the positions of sarpanch (village heads). Seats will be earmarked for various categories, including scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, women and other backward classes, in accordance with state guidelines.
Election officials have confirmed that all logistical arrangements, from polling stations to staff deployment, are ready. The reservation outcomes will be publicly announced after the draw, enabling political parties and candidates to finalize their nominations.
