Rescue teams have restarted the operation to locate six missing bodies after a helicopter went down near Joshimath in Uttarakhand.
A helicopter crashed in the vicinity of Joshimath, Uttarakhand, leaving six victims whose bodies are yet to be recovered. The accident, reported earlier this week, prompted an immediate emergency response, but the rugged terrain has hampered recovery efforts.
On Monday, rescue officials announced that search teams are back on the ground, employing ground crews, sniffer dogs and aerial support to locate the missing remains. The operation is being coordinated by the state disaster management authority in conjunction with the Indian Air Force and local police.
Authorities have cautioned that the search may take several more days due to adverse weather and the steep, forested slopes surrounding the crash site. Families of the victims have been urged to remain patient while officials continue the painstaking recovery work.
