Reis Magos in Goa will see its water supply rise once the new Pilerne water treatment plant starts functioning, officials said.
The coastal settlement of Reis Magos in Goa is set to benefit from a higher volume of water once the Pilerne water treatment plant becomes operational. Local authorities have confirmed that the plant, located near the village of Pilerne, will augment the existing supply network serving the area.
The plant is expected to process raw water from nearby sources and deliver treated water to households and businesses in Reis Magos, addressing long‑standing shortages during peak demand periods. Officials indicated that the increased supply will improve daily life for residents and support local tourism activities that rely on reliable water access.
No specific commencement date has been announced, but the project is reported to be in its final stages of commissioning. Stakeholders are monitoring the rollout closely to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted service for the community.
