The Delhi State Volleyball Tournament was officially launched today in the capital, with a ceremony attended by sports officials and local dignitaries. The event, organized by the Delhi Volleyball Association, aims to provide a platform for emerging talent across the city and surrounding regions.
Olympic bronze‑medalist wrestler Ravi Dahiya was the chief guest for the inauguration. Dahiya, who hails from Haryana and has represented India at multiple international events, addressed the gathering and encouraged the young volleyball players to pursue excellence.
Organisers said the tournament will feature teams from schools, colleges and clubs, with matches scheduled over the next two weeks. The competition is expected to boost the sport’s visibility in the region and serve as a scouting ground for state selectors.
