The Ranji Trophy clash between Himachal Pradesh and Mumbai has been relocated from Dharamshala to Bilaspur, officials said.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the upcoming Ranji Trophy encounter between Himachal Pradesh and Mumbai will no longer be staged at the Himachal Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. The match has been shifted to the Bilaspur Cricket Ground in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, with the new venue confirmed for the scheduled dates.
Bilaspur’s ground, which has recently undergone upgrades to meet first‑class standards, will now host the fixture. The venue can accommodate a modest crowd and offers improved drainage facilities, which were cited as a factor in the decision to relocate.
Both teams will adjust their travel and training plans accordingly. Himachal Pradesh’s players, accustomed to the high‑altitude conditions of Dharamshala, will now prepare on the relatively lower altitude of Bilaspur, while Mumbai’s squad will benefit from a shorter journey within the state.
Local cricket fans are expected to turn out in numbers, as the shift brings the high‑profile match closer to the Bilaspur district. The BCCI has assured that ticketing and broadcast arrangements will remain unchanged despite the venue change.
