The Jharkhand government has supplied the Ramgarh police with twenty new vehicles as part of its ongoing modernisation programme.

Ramgarh district police in Jharkhand have been handed over twenty brand‑new vehicles, officials said, marking a key step in the state’s police modernisation drive. The vehicles, which include patrol cars and utility vans, are intended to improve response times and operational efficiency across the district.

The allocation comes under the Jharkhand government’s broader scheme to upgrade law‑enforcement infrastructure, a programme that has been rolling out new equipment and technology to police units statewide. State officials highlighted that the fresh fleet will aid traffic management, crime prevention and rapid deployment during emergencies.

Police officials in Ramgarh welcomed the addition, noting that the new assets will bolster their capacity to serve the public and maintain law and order. The handover ceremony was attended by senior police officers and representatives of the state’s Department of Home Affairs.

The modernisation drive, launched earlier this year, aims to equip police forces with contemporary tools, ranging from communication devices to motorised transport, to meet the evolving security challenges of the region.
