The Tamil action film 'Jailer 2', starring Rajinikanth, has crossed the ₹790 crore mark worldwide by its 17th day of release, outperforming other recent releases.
'Jailer 2', directed by S. Shankar and featuring Rajinikanth in the lead, has achieved a global box‑office collection of over ₹790 crore by the end of its 17th day.
The film, released in India and several international markets, has outperformed contemporaries such as 'Coo', drawing larger audiences in both domestic and overseas theatres.
Analysts attribute the strong performance to Rajinikanth's star power, the film's high production values, and a robust marketing campaign that included a global premiere and extensive promotional events.
With the 790 crore milestone, 'Jailer 2' is positioned as one of the highest‑grossing Indian films of the year, and distributors are optimistic about its continued run in multiplexes and satellite rights sales.
