Advance ticket sales for Rajinikanth’s upcoming film 'Jailer 2' have topped ₹20 crore worldwide, with overseas markets contributing the bulk of the revenue.
Bookings for the highly anticipated sequel 'Jailer 2' opened this week, and advance sales have already crossed the ₹20 crore mark across all territories. The figure, reported by trade sources, reflects the combined revenue from both domestic and international ticket reservations.
Industry analysts attribute the surge primarily to strong demand from overseas markets, where Rajinikanth enjoys a dedicated fan base. Cities with sizable Indian diaspora, such as Dubai, Singapore and London, have reported the highest pre‑sale volumes, pushing the global total beyond the domestic contribution.
The robust advance‑booking numbers are being viewed as a positive signal for the film’s opening weekend, prompting distributors to allocate additional screens in key locations. If the trend continues, 'Jailer 2' could set new benchmarks for Indian star‑driven releases abroad.
