The Tamil‑Malayalam action drama 'Jailer 2' posted a notable increase in earnings on its fourth day, with Sunday collections outpacing earlier shows.
The action‑drama 'Jailer 2', directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and featuring superstars Rajinikanth and Mohanlal, continued its strong opening run on Sunday, the film's fourth day in theatres. Reports indicate that the Sunday collection jumped noticeably compared with the opening day, signalling robust audience interest.
Industry sources say the uptick reflects positive word‑of‑mouth and repeat viewings, as fans of both actors flocked to multiplexes and single‑screen halls across the country. The film's blend of high‑octane sequences and star power appears to be resonating with a wide demographic.
Box‑office analysts note that such a rise on the fourth day is uncommon for regional releases, suggesting that 'Jailer 2' could sustain its momentum in the coming weeks. The performance also positions the movie as one of the biggest domestic earners of the weekend.
While competing releases have struggled to capture similar attention, 'Jailer 2' is expected to dominate the weekend box‑office charts, bolstering the market share of Tamil‑Malayalam crossover projects.
