A village in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district faced difficulties in performing a funeral due to the absence of a tin shed at the cremation ground. The body of a man who died from electrocution had to be cremated under a makeshift canopy.
The incident occurred in Banda village of Sawai Madhopur district, where a man lost his life due to electrocution. The villagers faced a challenging situation when they had to perform the last rites at the cremation ground, which lacked a tin shed to provide shelter from the rain. The rain-soaked pyre posed a significant problem, and the villagers had to resort to using a makeshift canopy to complete the funeral rites. The absence of a tin shed at the cremation ground has highlighted the need for basic infrastructure in rural areas. The villagers had to struggle to ensure that the deceased person received a dignified farewell.
