The Rajasthan government is preparing a ₹22,000 crore green energy power highway, incorporating 15 new GSS to channel solar and wind power.
Rajasthan’s renewable output from solar and wind farms has been rising sharply, prompting the state administration to plan a dedicated transmission corridor for green power.
The Bhajanlal government has announced a project estimated at ₹22,000 crore to construct a “green energy power highway” that will link generation sites directly to the grid.
The scheme envisions the installation of fifteen new Green Solar Stations (GSS) along the route, enabling efficient conveyance of clean electricity across the state.
Officials say the dedicated highway will reduce transmission losses, improve grid stability and accelerate Rajasthan’s goal of expanding renewable capacity.
The project is currently in the preparatory stage, with detailed designs and financial approvals underway.
