The Rajasthan teachers’ association called for schools to stay free of political influence following a visit by a Chief Justice of India delegation.
A delegation headed by a member of the Chief Justice of India (CJI) panel visited several schools in Rajasthan as part of a recent outreach programme. The visit, which aimed to discuss legal awareness and civic education, was conducted in the presence of school administrators and teachers.
In response, the Rajasthan Teachers’ Association issued a statement urging that educational institutions remain insulated from any political activity. The body warned that the presence of a high‑profile judicial team could be misused to further partisan agendas and stressed the need to keep classrooms a neutral space for learning.
Officials from the CJI office have not commented on the teachers’ remarks, while the state education department said it would monitor the situation to ensure that school activities continue without political interference.
