Rajasthan has been placed fourth among all Indian states in the latest assessment of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, reflecting progress in scheme implementation.
The recent performance review of the Prime Minister's Vishwakarma Yojana shows Rajasthan ranking fourth across the country. The assessment, released by the central ministry overseeing the scheme, compares states on parameters such as beneficiary outreach, fund utilization and infrastructure development for the Vishwakarma community.
Officials from the Rajasthan government welcomed the ranking, saying it underscores the state's focused efforts to improve education, skill training and livelihood support for Vishwakarma artisans. They highlighted ongoing projects in rural districts that aim to modernise traditional crafts and enhance market access.
The PM Vishwakarma Yojana, launched to uplift the socio‑economic status of the Vishwakarma caste, continues to receive both central and state funding. The fourth‑place finish positions Rajasthan ahead of several larger states and sets a benchmark for further improvements in the coming year.
Stakeholders, including community leaders and NGOs, have urged the administration to sustain the momentum and address remaining gaps in health and housing services for beneficiaries.
The next phase of the scheme is expected to roll out additional skill‑development modules and digital platforms to streamline grievance redressal, aiming to boost Rajasthan's rank even higher in future evaluations.
