Rajasthan Schedules Municipal Chairperson Elections for Sep 25, Vice‑Chair Vote on Sep 26

The State Election Commission has announced that voting for municipal chairperson posts in Rajasthan will be held on 25 September, with vice‑chair elections the following day, covering Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Suket municipalities.
The Rajasthan State Election Commission released the timetable for the pending municipal chairperson and vice‑chairperson elections across the state. Voters in the major municipal corporations of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota, as well as the Suket municipality, will cast their ballots for the chairperson on 25 September.
A day later, on 26 September, the same electorate will vote to fill the vacant vice‑chair positions. The schedule aims to conclude the delayed elections that were postponed earlier due to administrative reasons.
Election officials have instructed polling stations to be ready for the two‑day process, ensuring that the voting is conducted smoothly and in accordance with the commission’s guidelines. The outcomes will determine the leadership of the respective urban local bodies for the next term.
