The Rajasthan Medical Services Commission (RMSCL) has ordered a probe into how government‑provided cancer medication reached the black market, questioning hospitals and medical colleges responsible for its distribution.

The Rajasthan Medical Services Commission (RMSCL) announced an investigation into the diversion of government‑supplied cancer drugs that have surfaced in the black market. Under existing protocols, hospitals and medical colleges that receive the medication are accountable for its safe administration and maintaining detailed records.

In this case, authorities have summoned the concerned medical college to explain how the drugs left the official supply chain and entered illegal channels. The inquiry will examine procurement documents, inventory logs, and distribution procedures to identify any lapses or misconduct.

RMSCL officials indicated that any breach of the supply network could attract strict penalties, emphasizing the need to protect vulnerable cancer patients from unauthorised sales. The commission aims to restore confidence in the state’s public health distribution system by ensuring transparency and accountability.
