The Rajasthan government is moving towards implementing a Uniform Civil Code by 2026, establishing a high-level committee to guide the process.

The state of Rajasthan is preparing to introduce a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) by the year 2026. In line with this objective, the current state government has formed a high-level committee.

This committee will be chaired by Ranjana Prakash Desai, a retired judge of the Supreme Court. The formation of this committee marks a significant step towards the potential implementation of a UCC in the state, aiming to bring uniformity in civil laws.
