Security forces in Rajasthan confiscated 13.8 kg of heroin worth about ₹70 crore that arrived via a Pakistani drone, and arrested six suspects including two women.
Security agencies in Rajasthan conducted a coordinated operation in the border districts of Shriganganagar and Hanumangarh, seizing a large consignment of heroin that had been dropped from a Pakistani drone. The haul, weighing approximately 13.8 kilograms, is valued at around ₹70 crore, according to officials.
Investigators said the drone‑borne shipment was part of a sophisticated smuggling network that uses aerial drops to evade ground checkpoints. The operation resulted in the arrest of six individuals suspected of handling the narcotics, among them two women who are believed to have played key roles in the distribution chain.
The seized heroin will be handed over to the forensic laboratory for further analysis, and the arrested suspects are being interrogated to uncover the broader network. Rajasthan police have warned that they will intensify surveillance along the international border to curb similar drone‑based drug trafficking attempts.
