The Rajasthan police have blocked 15,326 mobile numbers, more than 7,800 objectionable URLs and 100 digital devices in a coordinated cyber‑crime operation across seven districts.
The state police launched a large‑scale cyber‑crime operation that resulted in the blocking of 15,326 mobile numbers suspected of facilitating illegal online activities. In addition, more than 7,800 URLs and user profiles deemed objectionable were taken down, and 100 digital devices were rendered inoperable.
The crackdown spanned seven districts of Rajasthan, where investigators used specialized cyber‑forensic tools to identify and isolate the offending numbers and online content. Each blocked number and URL was linked to activities that violated the state's cyber‑safety regulations.
Officials said the action is part of an ongoing effort to curb the spread of pornographic and other illicit material on mobile and internet platforms. The police will continue monitoring the digital landscape to prevent further violations, the report added.
