The state election commission has announced that Rajasthan’s Panchayat polls for 2026 will be conducted in four phases, beginning on October 23.
The Rajasthan State Election Commission released the timetable for the 2026 Panchayat elections, confirming that voting will take place in four separate phases beginning on October 23. Each phase will cover a defined set of districts, allowing election officials to manage logistics and security more effectively.
The Panchayat polls will elect representatives to village, block and district level bodies that form the backbone of rural self‑governance in the state. These local bodies are responsible for implementing development schemes, managing public utilities and addressing community issues.
The commission said detailed dates for each phase, along with the list of constituencies, will be published in the official gazette in the coming weeks. Security arrangements and voter awareness campaigns are being coordinated with the police and civil society groups to ensure a smooth electoral process.
