Rajasthan Issues Yellow Weather Alert for 17 Districts Amid Expected Rain and High Winds

The Rajasthan government has issued a yellow weather alert for 17 districts on September 28, warning of rain, thunderstorms and high winds, while Sikar district faces an orange alert for winds up to 50 km/h.
On 28 September, the Rajasthan State Meteorological Department released a yellow weather alert covering 17 districts, including Ajmer, Jaipur, Udaipur, and others, warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorm activity and strong winds.
The alert indicates that winds could reach speeds up to 40 km/h, with the possibility of gusts higher. Authorities advise residents to secure loose objects and avoid unnecessary travel.
In addition, the district of Sikar has been placed under an orange alert, the highest warning level, for winds expected to reach 40-50 km/h. The orange alert is in effect for 28 and 29 September.
Meteorologists expect the weather system to bring showers across the state during the night of 28 September, with a gradual decrease in intensity by the following day. Residents are urged to stay updated through official channels.
The state government has activated emergency response teams and is monitoring the situation closely.
