Officials said the surplus will enable the administration to meet the upcoming sowing season's demand without resorting to additional purchases.
Opposition leaders, however, challenged the claim, arguing that many farmers across the state are experiencing difficulty in obtaining fertiliser. They pointed to delayed deliveries and rising prices as evidence of a looming shortage that could affect crop yields.
