The Chief Minister urged the non‑resident Rajasthan community to contribute ideas, investments and expertise to accelerate the state's growth.
Udaipur – In a public address titled “Padharo Thare Desh”, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan appealed to the state’s diaspora, urging them to play an active role in the region’s development agenda. Speaking at a gathering of Non‑Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs), he highlighted the growing economic potential of the state and the need for external support.
The CM emphasized that the NRR community possesses valuable resources – financial capital, technical know‑how and global networks – that can be channelled into key sectors such as tourism, renewable energy and agro‑industries. He called for concrete contributions, ranging from investment in start‑ups to mentorship for local entrepreneurs.
To facilitate participation, the government announced plans to set up a dedicated liaison cell that will streamline proposals, offer incentives and ensure transparent monitoring of diaspora‑led projects. Existing schemes like the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme will be expanded to accommodate NRR inputs.
The speech was received positively by attendees, who said the outreach could bridge the gap between the state’s growth aspirations and the expertise of its overseas community, potentially accelerating Rajasthan’s development trajectory.
