The chief minister of Rajasthan announced a new initiative aimed at revitalising the Shekhawati region by capitalising on its rich architectural heritage. The plan seeks to preserve and promote the area’s famed fresco‑adorned havelis, temples and forts as core attractions for cultural tourism.
State officials said the programme will involve upgrading road connectivity, improving visitor facilities and encouraging private investment in heritage‑based enterprises. By creating a heritage corridor, the government hopes to generate employment and stimulate local crafts.
