The state government has promoted 16 officers to the Indian Administrative Service, with the RAS Association president and the Chief Minister’s joint secretary among the new appointees.

The Rajasthan government today announced the promotion of 16 officers to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The list of new IAS officers includes the president of the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) Association and the Chief Minister’s joint secretary, signalling a significant reshuffle in the state’s senior bureaucracy.

The promotions are part of the annual allotment of IAS officers to state cadres, a process overseen by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. The new appointees are expected to take up key administrative roles across the state, strengthening governance and public service delivery.

The inclusion of the RAS Association president among the promoted officers has drawn attention, as it reflects the association’s influence in shaping the cadre’s composition. Meanwhile, the promotion of the CM’s joint secretary underscores the close ties between the state’s executive leadership and its civil service.

The Rajasthan government has not yet released the full list of appointments, but the announcement is expected to boost morale among civil servants and signal a commitment to merit‑based promotions within the state administration.
