The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Jaisalmer has apprehended a Patwari and an alleged broker for accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000. The bribe was reportedly demanded in exchange for land demarcation and updating revenue records.
In a significant operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, has successfully caught a Patwari and an individual acting as a broker red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Patwari Lakhvir Yadav and his alleged associate Jethusingh. The ACB laid a trap and apprehended them during the transaction.
Sources indicate that the bribe was solicited by the Patwari in return for carrying out the demarcation of a piece of land and facilitating the necessary entries in the official revenue records. The ACB's swift action has led to their immediate arrest.
