Raipur Railway Division fences 273 km of high‑speed tracks in Chhattisgarh

The Raipur Railway Division of Indian Railways has finished installing fencing along 273 kilometres of high‑speed corridors in Chhattisgarh. The barrier work is part of a safety‑enhancement drive aimed at preventing trespassing, stray livestock and unauthorised entry on tracks earmarked for future high‑speed services. Officials said the fencing will help curb accidents, protect passengers and allow smoother, faster train movements. The project aligns with national plans to modernise the rail network and improve operational efficiency across central India. Similar fencing initiatives are slated for other divisions as part of a broader infrastructure upgrade programme.
