Rain showers hit eastern Rajasthan as heat persists in western districts

Meteorological reports indicate scattered rain in eastern Rajasthan while western parts continue to experience high temperatures.
The Rajasthan State Disaster Management Authority released a weather bulletin today noting that rain clouds have moved across the eastern side of the state. Scattered showers were recorded in the region, providing temporary relief after several days of dry conditions.
In contrast, the western districts remain under the influence of a heat wave. Temperatures are expected to hover near the upper 40s Celsius, raising concerns about heat‑related illnesses among vulnerable populations.
Officials have urged residents in the hotter zones to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak sun hours, and seek shade whenever possible. Those in the rain‑affected areas are advised to remain cautious of slippery roads and localized flooding.
The forecast for the coming days suggests that the rain will gradually retreat eastward, while the heat is likely to persist in the western belt for at least another week.
