The western disturbance affecting Rajasthan will bring scattered showers to six districts today, with winds reaching 40 km per hour, and a noticeable drop in temperature expected overnight in the Shekhawati region.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather advisory for Rajasthan, citing an active western disturbance that is set to produce light to moderate rain across six districts today. Areas such as Jodhpur, Bikaner, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Ajmer and Alwar are expected to see intermittent showers during the afternoon hours.
Wind speeds are forecast to rise to about 40 kilometres per hour in the same regions, with gusts potentially stronger along exposed plains and open fields. The breezy conditions may affect outdoor activities and could cause minor inconvenience for commuters and farmers working in the fields.
Temperatures are likely to dip after sunset, especially in the Shekhawati belt, where a sharper fall in night-time temperature is anticipated. Residents have been advised to carry warm clothing and to stay alert for any sudden changes in weather as the night progresses.
