Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made two trips to Madhya Pradesh within 12 days, urging Ken‑Betwa displaced people to raise their concerns in Delhi ahead of the Uttar Pradesh elections.

Rahul Gandhi, senior Congress figure, travelled to Madhya Pradesh twice in a span of 12 days, meeting local party workers and community representatives.

During the visits he focused on residents displaced by the Ken‑Betwa river interlinking project, urging them to come to Delhi to voice their grievances directly to the central government.

The outreach is timed ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, as the party seeks to expand its narrative beyond its traditional bases.

Congress officials said the initiative aims to highlight the government's handling of displacement issues and to mobilise affected citizens for a broader political discussion.

No official response from the central government has been recorded yet.
