On September 19, Rahul Gandhi will speak to students at the ‘Students’ Echo’ event in Indore, a move seen as targeting young voters in Madhya Pradesh.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address a gathering of students in Indore on September 19 as part of the “Students’ Echo” (छात्रों की गूंज) programme. The event, organised by the Congress party’s youth wing, will provide a platform for the opposition leader to interact directly with college and university students in the heart of Madhya Pradesh.

Political analysts view the choice of Indore as a calculated effort to win over the state’s youthful electorate, especially in the Malwa‑Nimad belt where the Congress seeks to rebuild its base. By speaking in a city that has traditionally been a stronghold for the ruling party, Gandhi aims to project a narrative of change and inclusivity.

The programme will feature a question‑answer session, allowing students to raise concerns on education, employment and national issues. Organisers expect a sizeable turnout, given the growing political engagement among young voters ahead of the upcoming state elections.

While the Congress has scheduled similar outreach drives in other regions, the Indore event is being highlighted as a flagship effort to “decode” the aspirations of the youth and translate them into electoral support.
