Qamran Iqbal was called up to the Jammu and Kashmir squad less than 24 hours before the Ranji Trophy final and had to travel nearly 2,800 kilometres from Srinagar to Hubballi in a single day.
In the final, the 24‑year‑old smashed an unbeaten 160, steering his team to a historic first Ranji Trophy title.
Iqbal reflected on the whirlwind journey and the rapid rise of cricket in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that he is eager to showcase his talent in the upcoming Duleep Trophy.
