Punjab police confiscated more than seven kilograms of heroin in Pathankot during a crackdown on a drug‑trafficking network, and arrested two suspects linked to the haul.
Punjab police carried out a targeted operation in Pathankot, Punjab, that resulted in the seizure of over seven kilograms of heroin. The narcotics were recovered from a location identified as part of an active drug‑trafficking network operating in the region.
During the same raid, two individuals suspected of being involved in the network were taken into custody. Investigators linked the confiscated heroin directly to the two arrested suspects based on evidence gathered at the scene.
Police officials said the bust demonstrates the department’s continued focus on dismantling drug corridors in the state and warned that further actions will follow against anyone found facilitating the illegal drug trade.
