Punjab Police recovered one kilogram of heroin and a computer from a drone over Firazpur, underscoring the growing use of unmanned aircraft in drug trafficking.
Punjab Police intercepted a drone that had landed in the town of Firazpur, Jalandhar district, and recovered one kilogram of heroin along with a computer.
The seized heroin, weighing 1 kg, was found in a sealed container on the drone’s landing site. A computer was also recovered, suggesting it may have been used for coordinating the illicit operation.
The operation was carried out by the local police unit in coordination with the Punjab State Police’s anti‑drug squad. Officers secured the drone and the contraband before it could be dispersed.
