Punjab’s Director General of Police announced that the Saanjh Rahat Kendras have assisted more than 1,000 women in distress across the state.
The Director General of Police of Punjab confirmed that the Saanjh Rahat Kendras have helped over 1,000 women in distress across the state.
The centres, set up by the Punjab Police, offer a safe space for women to seek counselling, legal assistance and support services.
According to the DGP, the initiative has reached women in both rural and urban areas, providing them with immediate help and a platform to voice their concerns.
The police department highlighted the importance of community outreach and the role of these centres in strengthening safety nets for women in Punjab.
