Punjab experienced significant rainfall late Wednesday night as the monsoon became active, leading to a considerable drop in temperatures across most parts of the state. A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued for the next four days.

Monsoon activity has intensified across Punjab, bringing much-needed rainfall to the state. Many areas received showers late Wednesday night, significantly altering the weather conditions. The mercury dropped to 35.2 degrees Celsius following the downpour. Authorities have issued a yellow alert, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next four days. This weather shift is expected to provide relief from the prevailing heat. The increased rainfall has also led to a decrease in electricity demand across the state.
