Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann Calls Every Mother, Sister Brand Ambassadors of Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna

At a recent press briefing in Patiala, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized the central role of mothers and sisters in promoting the Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna, a welfare initiative aimed at recognizing and supporting women who have contributed significantly to family and community welfare. The CM described them as the ‘brand ambassadors’ of the scheme, underscoring the grassroots impact of the program.

Launched earlier this year, the Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna offers financial assistance, skill‑development training and health benefits to eligible mothers and sisters who have demonstrated exemplary service in their households and local communities. The scheme is part of the Punjab government’s broader effort to empower women and strengthen family units.

The CM’s remarks were met with approval from local leaders and women’s groups, who noted that the recognition could boost participation and awareness of the program across rural and urban areas alike.
