Patiala – The work stoppage by staff of the Punjab Refinery and Terminal Company (PRTC) was called off after a meeting with the state minister on Thursday. The employees, who had been on strike for several days demanding better working conditions and timely salary payments, reached a consensus with the minister during the discussion.
According to sources present at the meeting, the minister assured the workers that their grievances would be addressed promptly and that pending dues would be cleared. Both parties agreed to resume normal operations at the refinery and terminal facilities from the following day.
