Private Bus Falls off Himachal Mountain Road, 7 Dead, 11 Injured

A private bus carrying passengers was traveling along a steep mountain road in Chamba district when it lost control and plunged into a ravine early on Tuesday. The accident, which occurred near the village of Khar, resulted in the deaths of seven people and left eleven others with injuries ranging from fractures to head trauma. Rescue teams from the Himachal Pradesh Police and the State Disaster Management Authority were dispatched to the site, where they recovered the bodies and provided medical assistance to the injured. The bus was reportedly traveling at a speed higher than the posted limit, according to preliminary police reports. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have both expressed their deep sorrow and offered condolences to the families of the victims.
