The Prime Minister inaugurated the 'PM Shri Schools' initiative, aiming to create a new model of school education across Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi – The Prime Minister inaugurated the "PM Shri Schools" programme in Uttar Pradesh, presenting it as a blueprint for a modernised school system. The launch, held in the state capital, highlighted the government's intent to overhaul curricula, infrastructure and teacher training to meet contemporary standards.

According to officials, the model will integrate digital classrooms, skill‑based learning modules and community participation, aiming to raise learning outcomes in government schools. The initiative is positioned as a pilot that could be replicated in other states if successful.

Education experts attending the event noted that the focus on holistic development and technology‑enabled teaching could address long‑standing gaps in the state's public education sector. The programme is slated to roll out in select districts over the next academic year, with regular monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.

The Prime Minister emphasized that quality education is central to the nation's development agenda and urged state officials to ensure swift implementation. Stakeholders were invited to collaborate on curriculum design and resource allocation to achieve the project's objectives.

The "PM Shri Schools" model represents the latest effort by the central government to modernise India's school system, aligning it with global best practices while catering to local needs.
