മലപ്പുറം: കേരള പത്രപ്രവര്‍ത്തക യൂണിയന്‍ (കെ.യു.ഡബ്ല്യു.ജെ.) മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലാ കമ്മിറ്റി പ്രസിഡന്റായി വിമല്‍ കോട്ടയ്ക്കലിനെയും (മാതൃഭൂമി) സെക്രട്ടറിയായി വി.പി. നിസാറിനെയും (മംഗളം) (കെ.യു.ഡബ്ല്യു.ജെ.) മലപ്പുറം പ്രസ്‌ക്ലബ്ബിന്റെ 2026-28 കാലയളവിലേക്കുള്ള ഭാരവാഹികളായാണ് ഇരുവരും തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.
ടി.പി. സുരേഷ്‌കുമാര്‍ (മാധ്യമം) ട്രഷററായും യു. വിനയന്‍ (ദേശാഭിമാനി) വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റായും, ഗീതു തമ്പി(സുപ്രഭാതം)ജോയിന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറിയായും തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ജില്ലാ കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങളായി മുജീബ് പുള്ളിച്ചോല(സിറാജ്), പി.വി. നജീബ്(ചന്ദ്രിക), സുധ സുന്ദരന്‍ പാറങ്ങല്‍(ദേശാഭിമാനി) എന്നിവരും തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
തുടര്‍ച്ചയായി രണ്ടാം തവണയാണ് വി.പി. നിസാര്‍ ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറിയാകുന്നത്. ജില്ലാ റിട്ടേണിങ് ഓഫീസര്‍ ഷെറിന്‍ മുഹമ്മദും അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് റിട്ടേണിങ് ഓഫീസര്‍ സി.പി. അബ്ദുസമദും തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് നടപടികള്‍ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കി.
Vimal Kottakkal Elected as Malappuram Press Club President, V.P. Nisar as Secretary
MALAPPURAM: Vimal Kottakkal (Mathrubhumi) and V.P. Nisar (Mangalam) have been elected as the President and Secretary respectively of the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) Malappuram District Committee and the Malappuram Press Club for the 2026–28 term.
Additionally, T.P. Suresh Kumar (Madhyamam) was elected as Treasurer, U. Vinayan (Deshabhimani) as Vice President, and Geethu Thampi (Suprabhatham) as Joint Secretary. Mujeeb Pulhichola (Siraj), P.V. Najeeb (Chandrika), and Sudha Sundaran Parangall (Deshabhimani) were elected as District Committee members.
This marks the second consecutive term for V.P. Nisar as District Secretary. District Returning Officer Sherin Mohammed and Assistant Returning Officer C.P. Abdussamad led the election proceedings.
