Police Shoot and Kill Man Near Cloverdale and Overland in Boise

A man was shot and killed by Boise police near the intersection of Cloverdale and Overland streets earlier today. Police officers responded to a call about a possible altercation in the area. The suspect was reportedly armed and posed a threat to officers and bystanders. Officers fired multiple shots, striking the man in the chest and causing fatal injuries. The incident is under investigation by the Boise Police Department and the Idaho State Police.
