Police seize cannabis worth ₹3 crore in Khargaon under Operation Prahar

Madhya Pradesh police conducted a large‑scale raid under the banner of Operation Prahar in the town of Khargaon, targeting illegal cannabis cultivation. The operation uncovered two farms where more than 15,000 cannabis plants were being grown, amounting to roughly 60 quintals of raw material. Officials estimate the seized crop to be worth about ₹3 crore in the market. Four individuals alleged to have overseen the cultivation were arrested and are currently in police custody. The seized plants have been handed over to the narcotics control department for further forensic examination, underscoring the state's intensified crackdown on drug production.
