Rajasthan police, aided by Jaipur CID and a district special team, confiscated 17,868 litres of suspect ghee valued at about Rs 1.23 crore and arrested three people in a multi‑location raid.
Under the "Shuddh Aahar‑Milavat Par War" campaign, law‑enforcement agencies conducted coordinated raids at roughly half a dozen sites in Shri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. The operation involved the state police, the Jaipur Crime Investigation Department and a specially formed district team.
The raids resulted in the seizure of 17,868 litres of ghee that authorities described as adulterated and counterfeit. Market estimates place the value of the confiscated product at around Rs 1.23 crore.
Police also detained three individuals suspected of orchestrating the illegal production and distribution network. The accused are currently in custody and will face further investigation.
Officials said the crackdown aims to protect consumers from harmful food adulteration and to deter similar large‑scale frauds in the region.
