Bihar police uncovered a scheme to forge Aadhaar cards for Nepali residents in Kundwa Chaipur, East Champaran, seizing laptops, fingerprint and iris scanners during a raid.

In a coordinated operation on Tuesday, Bihar police raided a compound in Kundwa Chaipur, East Champaran, where officials alleged that a network was producing counterfeit Aadhaar cards for Nepali nationals.
The raid, conducted under the pretext of a senior police officer, resulted in the seizure of several digital devices, including laptops, fingerprint scanners and iris scanners, which investigators say were used to create fake biometric data.
Three individuals have been taken into custody and are facing charges related to identity fraud and forgery. Police have launched a full investigation to trace the extent of the scheme and identify any collaborators.
The operation underscores the state’s commitment to curbing identity fraud and protecting the integrity of the Aadhaar system.
