Police have sealed off Jantar Mantar in Delhi and increased personnel at the Election Commission office as protests continue.
Delhi police have set up a cordon around the historic Jantar Mantar complex as demonstrators continue to gather there. The move aims to contain the ongoing protests and prevent any escalation in the public space.
In parallel, additional police personnel have been deployed to the Election Commission of India's Delhi office. The reinforcement follows reports of heightened activity around the commission amid the same wave of protests.
Authorities said the deployments are precautionary, intended to maintain law and order while allowing the democratic right to protest. No arrests or clashes have been reported so far, and traffic around the affected areas remains under police control.
The police presence is expected to remain until the situation stabilises, officials added.
