Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Bihar in November to lay the foundation stone for the new Vikramshila University, a project aimed at reviving the historic educational hub.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit Bihar in November, according to reports from the press. The visit is linked to the inauguration of the Vikramshila University, a new institution that seeks to restore the region’s ancient legacy of learning.
The university will be established on the site of the historic Vikramshila Monastic University, which flourished in the 11th century. The project is part of a broader effort to boost higher education infrastructure in the state.
Officials say the foundation stone ceremony will be a symbolic act, marking the beginning of construction and signalling the government's commitment to educational development in Bihar.
The foundation stone is expected to be laid in a formal event that will likely involve state leaders and educational experts, with construction slated to begin shortly thereafter.
