Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that while Maoist insurgency has been eradicated, a new wave of ideologically driven agitators—referred to as 'dimagi Naxals'—are stirring people against the Constitution and democracy.
In a statement released by the Prime Minister's office, Narendra Modi announced that the Maoist insurgency has been effectively neutralised across India.
He added that the threat now lies with a new breed of agitators he termed "dimagi Naxals", who he says are exploiting ideological narratives to undermine constitutional values.
Modi warned that these individuals are attempting to polarise society and erode democratic norms through misinformation and propaganda.
The Prime Minister called on law‑enforcement agencies and civil society to remain vigilant and to counter such subversive activities with unity and adherence to the rule of law.
